
Dr. Jill S. Goldberg Arnold
Psychologist
Dr. Arnold is a Licensed Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from SUNY Binghamton. She completed an internship in child clinical psychology with the DC Commission on Mental Health and a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric mood disorders at the Ohio State University. She served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at OSU and later relocated to Rhode Island where she worked with adolescents as part of a school-based mental health initiative.
Dr. Arnold moved to Pennsylvania in 2003 and joined Dr. Norford’s practice
where she works with families and individuals dealing with a wide range
of issues. Dr. Arnold specializes in the treatment of youngsters with
mood disorders and is the co-author of "Raising a Moody Child: How to
cope with depression and bipolar disorder."
She is currently co-writing "Treating Bipolar Children", a treatment guide
for Psychoeducational Psychotherapy for children with mood disorders.
Psychoeducational Psychotherapy is the only empirically validated psychosocial
intervention for children with mood disorders and their families.
Dr. Arnold recently relocated to Massachusetts. She is at Norford Psychological
Associates in Bryn Mawr one day every other week. She is available for
her existing patients as well as for consultations for families questioning
a diagnosis of bipolar disorder for their child. She is not available
for new therapy cases.
